Voluntary action is an unparallel humanist initiative in development arena to substantiate endeavours aiming at self-sufficiency of people and society. Having a strong base on this philosophy, efforts are being initiated to promote voluntary action through pragmatic action line suitable for contemporary voluntary movement in India. We, at Advanced Centre for the Study of Philanthropy and Development Affairs (ACPDA), believe in enormous potentialities of voluntary organizations in the country dedicated for the cause of the society. Based on this belief, we are in the process of developing institutional arrangements for promoting the spirit of cooperation and building up capacity among non-profit developmental organizations in India. ACPDA is a Society registered in 1990 under West Bengal Societies Registration Act 1961. While we are panning to expand our activities in all the States of the country, we have so far restricted our contact addresses in Delhi and Kolkata.
